The Common Application Personal Statement (aka the college essay) is a unique genre and critical part of the college application. Most applicants will complete “The Common App.”

  • Excellent college essays are critical to getting admitted because many schools go beyond a cursory review of grades and test scores

  • Understand the holistic approach to admissions and why the essay is the key differentiator.

  • We will determine which of the 7 essay prompts offered are best for your students to answer

  • Brainstorm to find powerful, personal, and appropriate stories to share and incorporate into essays.

  • Includes the data and activities section of the Common App.

UC Person Insight Question Version (UC PIQs)
Includes identifying which 4 of the 8 UC PIQs are best for your students to answer. Also includes strategies for the UC activities section.
